The Packetmaster EX48400 is a high performance network packet broker that aggregates, filters, duplicates, load balances network traffic to security, monitoring and management tools based on 4500 possible rules. The Packetmaster EX48400 supports OSI Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4 header modifications including stripping, adding, and modifying VLAN tags, MPLS labels, MAC addresses, IP addresses and Port numbers.

This is a truly universal unit because it supports all possible interfaces from copper Gbit to fibre 100 Gbit in a one U design. All ports are open and the user does not need to pay any additional fees to use all the ports.

All ports offer bidirectional function which provides more functionality with the existing ports and more flexibility for the same price. The unit comes with several bandwidth features at no additional cost; for instance, it is capable of packet slicing at in line rate while simultaneously performing the basic functions of a network packet broker.
